Dojos
Brunei Darussalam Aikido Federation used to own one Dojo known as Darussalam Aikido Dojo. Darussalam Aikido
Dojo is the first Aikido Dojo established in Brunei Darussalam (please refer to ABOUT US for the detailed history of the
dojo). After its official introduction in December, it was originally based at the National Stadium in
Berakas but now due to unforseen circumstances has moved to Menglait Sports Centre in Gadong. Menglait Sports Centre
host many martial arts styles (eg. SiIat, Karate, Taekwando, Wushu, Kendo etc) and Aikido is one of the martial arts
practice at this centre. Darussalam Aikido Dojo, as a purely voluntary and non-profit organisation, has no control
of the facilties since it is owned by the government and only allowed to practice in the centre at certain time
and days of the week. In order for the dojo to be managed independently, the Dojo has now been officially registered
with the Registrar of Societies on the 25 November 2006. Therefore, starting January 2007, all matters pertaining to
the management of the Dojo is no longer handled by the BAF committee members but it will instead be managed by its
own elected committee members.
BAF currently has 2 dojo members which are, Aikikai Wira Dojo and Aikidamashii Dojo .
